PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a single sheet type ablative recording element demonstrating modified abrasion resistance and scratch resistance. SOLUTION: A laser ablative element is provided with an image layer containing an image dye or a pigment dispersed in a polymer binder on a substrate representing the specified young's modulus, and a near infrared ray absorbing substance demonstrating the absorption at the specified laser wavelength used for the exposure of the laser ablative recording element is combined with the image layer, and absorption is demonstrated by the image dye or the pigment dispersed in the polymer binder on an 250 nm-700 nm area, and a compliant layer is contained in the element between the substrate and the image layer, and the Young's modulus of the compliant layer is lower than the Young's modulus of the substrate and the thickness of the compliant layer is in the range of 2 μm-200 μm. |
