PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inhibit the surface of a coating film from having a wave-form by a method wherein a plurality of coating discharge slits communicated with one line of a coating feed passage are provided, outlets of the coating discharge slits are made parallel to each other, respective coating materials discharged from the outlets of a plurality of the coating discharge slits interfere with each other, and a wave to be generated is negated. SOLUTION: A multi-slit nozzle 10 is used by being detachably attached to the tip of an application gun. When a sealer is applied to a wheel arch of a car body for prevention of rust and prevention of water entry, the multi-slit nozzle 10 is arranged in an upward direction which becomes a direction opposed to a surface to be coated. The multi-slit nozzle 10 comes to have a direction wherein the length direction of an outlet 12a of a coating discharge slit crosses at right angles a transfer direction of the application gun. Since respective sealers 15 discharged from the outlet 12a of respective coating discharge slits interfere with each other and mutual wave form is negated, a coated film surface wherein the wave form is reduced or the coated film surface which is free from the wave form is consequently obtained.
