PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct a frequency characteristic, to increase number of acoustic scanning lines, and to restrain degradation of image quality after scanning conversion, by filtering an ultrasonic received signal using a reverse filter characteristic serving also as a band range restriction. SOLUTION: A block data is extracted from a received data on a plurality of acoustic scanning lines, null is inserted between the acoustic scanning lines of the extracted block data to create a block data having increased acoustic scanning lines, a two dimensional filter process serving as both interpolation between the scanning lines and correction of a frequency characteristic is provided for the block data, and the block data is synthesized to create a receiving data of the acoustic scanning lines.
