PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the decomposing efficiency by an org. matter decomposing microorganisms and to prevent the generation of malodors and small flies. SOLUTION: A crushing chamber 2 provided with a crusher 9 for crushing garbage into small pieces is furnished at the upper part in a biotreating chamber 1 decompose garbage by using microorganisms to constitute this device. Scrapers 14A and 14B are provided to the peripheral wall of the crushing chamber 2 to scrape off the garbage stuck to the crusher 9. A partition plate 15 is provided above the crusher 9 to partition a hopper 4 for feeding the garbage into the crushing chamber 2 and the crushing chamber 2.
