摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonograph that can observe an ultrasonic image and measure a sensitivity characteristic (pulse amplitude, pulse width) or the like of each piezoelectric transducer element without increasing number of wirings in an ultrasonic probe. SOLUTION: A plurality of piezoelectric transducer elements 10a, 10b,... constituting a piezoelectric transducer 10 provided for a probe 2 are respectively connected with a transmitting circuit 11 and a receiving circuit 13 through signal wires via a multiplexer 25, and the multiplexer 25 is connected with a system controller 8 and a counter circuit 28 through an encoder 26 and a change-over switch 27. For providing a normal ultrasonic image, the piezoelectric transducer elements 10a, 10b,... are driven in the order of arrangement by the output from the counter circuit 28. When a contact (b) of the change-over switch 27 is turned on by instruction for an input of a measuring mode from an input means 7, and a number is fed from the input means 7, the piezoelectric transducer element with that number is selected and sensitivity measurement with the piezoelectric transducer element is performed.
