PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dispense with formation of a knot by providing a U-shaped cut in a fixing body and slightly curving or bending a tongue piece formed by the cut from the root and inserting the front end of a string into the gap in the state that the front end is turned back as it is and further, turning the bent or turning back part of the tongue piece to connect it. SOLUTION: A nearly U-shaped cut 11 is provided in a metallic plate 10 by forming a fixing body by pressing and a tongue piece 12 formed by the cut 11 is slightly bent from the root. The turned-back front end of a rubber string having elasticity in the longitudinal direction is inserted in the gap between the cut 11 of the fixing body 1 and the tongue piece 12 respectively to expose a little the turned-back part from the takeout side of a thin plate 10. In this state, the tongue piece slightly bent is turned so as to eliminate a crease and firmly hold the string and connect it. In this way, fitting of the string can be simplified, a knot is not required, the tongue piece can be almost flush with the plane of the fixing body, and the width of the binding case can be narrowed.
