Method for reducing void volumes in cavities for laser drilling

<p>A method for disposing a blocking material in a cavity 38 for blocking a laser beam is disclosed. Various details of the method are developed to minimize the formation of voids in the cavity. In one embodiment, a reduced pressure is used during the method to reduce the amount of gas trapped in the cavity.</p>
