<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compression molding apparatus and method not requiring a high expense and complicated equipment associated with heating and pressurization. SOLUTION: A mold 14 and a plug 16 are arranged mutually relatively by inserting the plug 16 into the cavity 18 of the mold 14. As a result, a gap 20 having a first vol. is formed between both of them. When the mold 14 and the plug 16 are held to first temp., a matter is housed in the gap so as to at least partially fill the gap and, when the mold 14 and the plug 16 are exposed to second temp. such that the gap 20 changes to a second vol. different from the first vol. when one of the first material of the mold 14 and the second material of the plug 16 shows a dimensional change larger than that of the other one of them, the matter is compressed to obtain a molded product.</p> |
