PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability and to prevent deterioration of a solid-state image pickup element in the case of executing X-ray image pickup by making the solid-state image pickup element in a driving state. SOLUTION: When an operator selects the photographed position of a subject by the photographed position setting button of a display part 4, the solid-state image pickup element 2 is driven, a timer is started and a photographing condition, an image processing parameter, etc., according to the selected position is automatically set in addition. When an exposure button 7 is pressed within ten min e.g. that is before time out of the timer 6, an X-ray generator control part 9 photographs the subject 1 by exposing it to X-rays from an X-ray tube 3. When the button 7 is not pressed within ten minutes, the driving of the element 2 is stopped.
