PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a triangular rice ball, so designed as to afford such a rice ball-packaged mode that owing to a rice ball packaging bag sheet packaged with a laver and/or handgrip sheet, the left and right upper corners of the bag sheet are mutually intimately superposed on the upper surface of the rice ball so as not to open the superposed part and to stick a paper label intended for labeling or decoration, nevertheless, enabling both the left and right upper corners to be torn off favorably and an external setup film to be divided left and right into two. SOLUTION: This method for producing a triangular rice ball comprises the following procedure: a bag sheet S for packaging a rice ball is prepared by holding a handgrip sheet 2 and a laver 3 into a bag composed of an external setup film 1 of a uniaxially oriented film with a tearing piece 1c on one end and internal setup films 4, 5, a triangular rice ball M is placed on the lower face portion S2 of the sheet, an intermediate portion S1 of the sheet S is folded up, the rice ball is wrapped in the lower half S3 of the sheet S, the lower face portion S2 is folded up along the left and right slant sides of the rice ball M, surplus left and right corners S3a, S3b are superposed on the upper surface of the rice ball M, respectively, and a heat sealer 15 is put into the bag sheet under sandwiching the central band part to be torn off by the tearing piece 1c on the upper surface of the rice ball in between the corners to impart tearing notches 7. |
