DRIED POWDER OF MICROBIAL VIABLE CELL AND MICROBIAL SUSPENSION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain both a dried powder of microbial viable cells industrially available in a large amount and maintaining a high viable cell concentration of >=1010 cfu/g for a long period, and a microbial suspension in order to obtain the microbial viable cell dried powder. SOLUTION: This powder is prepared by drying a microbial suspension containing microorganisms and sucrose as main constituent components and the content of the sucrose in the dried powder is 45-60 wt.%. Furthermore, the microbial suspension contains the microorganisms and the sucrose as the main constituent components and the ratio of the sucrose solution to the mixed microbial concentrate is 0.40-0.75 (weight) expressed in terms of the sucrose solution at 40% (weight) concentration.
