PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering device which can improve the freedom of a part arrangement inside the car body of a restricted space. SOLUTION: A ball nut 63 screwed together with a ball screw shaft 61 integrated with a rack meshed with a pinion rotated by a steering is rotated and driven in order to give a steering auxiliary force by a motor 8. An end cover 50 for covering the rack 4 is connected to the end of the housing 31 for covering the rack 4. The end cover 50 is connected to the housing 31 by the screwing together of a male screw 72 formed on the other outer periphery with the female screw 71 formed on the oneside inner periphery in the housing 31 and end cover 50.
