PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce costs and to prevent a washing water from flowing out of a main body of a dishwasher when a washing tank is pulled out of the main body of the dishwasher by opening and closing an inner cover by a user, in the dishwasher wherein the washing tank is pulled out of the main body of the dishwasher and tableware is put into the washing tank to wash the tableware. SOLUTION: A washing tank 14 having an opening at its upper part, in which tableware 3 is stored, can be pulled out from a main body 13 of the dishwasher nearly in a horizontal direction, and the opening of the tank 14 is covered with an inner cover 16, and the tank 14 is engaged with the main body 13 by means of an engaging means 21, while the cover 16 is disposed on the opening of the tank 14 so as to be opened. And if the tank 14 is put into the main body 13 under conditions that dowels 17 of the cover 16 are mounted on a flange 18 provided in the tank 14, the dowels 17 are fitted in recesses 19 of the flange 18, whereby the tank 14 can be automatically, tightly closed with the cover 16, and hence usability can be improved.
