PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a favorable packaged state by imparting a sufficient tension to a film after a packaging regardless of the humidity of an atmosphere by properly changing the pinching release timing and the pinching force of pinching members which pinch the end edge of a fed film, based on specified conditions such as humidity which affects the fed film. SOLUTION: Under a state wherein an article 15 is brought into contact with a film 11 which is pulled out from a film take-up roll 10, and is stretched on a packaging section S while the film end edge is pinched, the extended part of the film 11 covering the upper side of the article 15 is folded under the lower side of the article 15, and then, the pinching to the end edge of the film 11 is released to finish the packaging, In this case, the pinching release timing for pinching members 9, 17 and 18 which pinch the end edge of the film 11 or release the pinching, is delayed more as a humidity detected by a humidity detecting means 51 is higher, and at the same time, one of conditions of the pinching release timing and the pinching force is changed by a piching condition changing means so that the pinching force of the pinching members 9, 17 and 18 may be increased.
