PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely arrange printed books in order, move a vibration side plate easily when a width of printed book is changed, and move a temporary receive plate easily when it advances and retracts. SOLUTION: This printed book processing device is provided with a temporary receive plate 11 receiving a printed book provided so as to evacuate temporarily, vibration side plates 17 which are erected at a predetermined interval from the temporary receive plate 11, in which a pair are opposingly arranged through a width of printed book, and which are vibrated in the directions in which they approach and leave mutually to arrange attitudes of printed books in order, jumping out prevention pieces 25 in which a plurality of them are arranged in parallel in a lower side outer fringe part of each vibration side plate 17, which are attached so as to turn freely, and whose inner face is provided so as to become substantially the same face as an inner face of the vibration side plate 17 and lower end part is formed so as to be positioned on lower side than a printed book receive face of the temporary receive plate 11, and groove parts 11a which are formed lower by one step than the printed book receive face so that a lower end part of each jumping out prevention piece 25 can enter without interference and extend in the direction of width of printed book of the vibration side plate 17 on a top face of the temporary receive plate 11.
