PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To give a heat insulation effect to a cup by winding up a flat plate on the surface provided with irregularities on the side face to form an air layer. SOLUTION: A flat plate 4 is stuck and wound on the outer periphery of the side face after recesses 2 and protrusions 3 have been formed on the side face of a cup 1. A process for forming the irregularities is carried out in a flat paper before it is processed to make a cup 1 in order to form the irregularities in the cup 1. The flat plate 4 is wound after embossing process after it has been shaped to form a cup. Thereafter, contents of dry ramen are put in the cup and a cover 5 is stuck from above and the cup is hermetically sealed. The cup 1 is conically shaped to reduce the diameter as it goes down. The flat plate 4 wound on the side face of the cup 1 has a laterally long fan-shaped form. The cup as a single body can not be held by a hand when hot water is charged because of the high temperature as the side face is thin but an air layer is formed between the irreguralities part and the flat plate of the side face to display a heat insulation effect.
