PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety cover to part chips produced, to enhance precision of a drilling process and a surface finishing condition, and to prevent the chips and cutting lubricant from being splashed. SOLUTION: In a safety cover 1 for a drill disposed outside the drill 45, stanchions 5, 12 which are parallel to the axial line 46 of the drill and concentrically surrounds the drill 45 with an interval between are provided, and a stationary ring 15 which is fixed to a main body and has an insertion hole to be inserted with the stanchions 5, 12 and a slide ring 22 which is disposed under the stationary ring 15, and fixes one end of the two stanchions 5 while supporting the stanchions 5, 12 inserted through the insertion hole of the stationary ring 15 are provided. The stationary ring 15 and the slide ring 22 are formed into two divided sections with a plane passing through the center of each ring as a boundary and are made to open perpendicularly to the axis line 46 of the drill, and the surrounding part of an entrance hole 27 for the drill of the slide ring 22 to enter and come out is recessed downward to form a funnel-form.
