PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a welding method which can be suitably applied to a long pipe joint which connects e.g. tubular pipes each other, and a welding device used in the welding method. SOLUTION: In a welding method with which tubular pipe stocks 11 are butt welded each other using a torch 14, the tubular pipe stocks 11 are rotated with rotational steps divided into at least five, initial TIG welding is executed without using an adding wire, next finish welding is executed using the adding wire, and welding whose welded layer is composed of an initial layer and a finish welded layer is applied.
