PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article packing body which bears a large compressed load. SOLUTION: A sleeve 2 is placed on the peripheral edges of a base 1 for placing an article on, and the horizontal movement of the sleeve 2 is hindered by a bottom frame 8 provided around the base 1. Support posts 3 of each of two pairs are connected together with a beam 4 fixed on their upper ends, thereby forming a pair of gate-shaped members 14, the gate-shaped members 14 are arranged opposite to each other onto the base 1 so that the support posts 3 are positioned along the insides of the corners of the sleeve 2, and two other beams 4 are stretched between the shoulders of the opposite gate- shaped members 14. Thus, an article packing body is formed. In the article packing body, the cross-section of each support post 3 has a letter L, a step part is formed in the lower end of each, and the step part is engaged with the bottom frame 8.
