PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To change an empty core material with a paper roll without changing a stop position of an automatic guided vehicle. SOLUTION: This is a method for transferring a core material 4 and a paper roll 3 for a winding device 5 of paper which is provided with an arm 52 which chucks the core material 4 of the roll paper 3 and can turn freely. In this method, an automatic guided vehicle 1 on which a fork 2 having a core material loading part 21 and a paper roll loading part 22 is loaded is stopped at a transfer position of the winding device 5, the paper roll 3 chucked by the arm 52 is loaded on the fork 2 to turn the arm 52 to a predetermined position, and the fork 2 is lowered to a predetermined position to chuck an empty core material 4 on the fork 2 by the arm 52.
