PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To construct the subject fishbank affording the whole ecological system over coastal shore reef area with useful environment to settle the whole ecological system found on the shore reef and seaweed bed by using a stone material produced by solidifying powdery and/or granular slag produced from iron and steel manufacturing process using as a binder CaCO3 formed by carbonation of the CaO included in the above slag. SOLUTION: This fishbank is constructed by the following procedure: first, a stone material is produced by solidifying powdery and/or granular slag produced from iron and steel manufacturing process using, as a binder, CaCO3 formed by carbonation of the CaO included mainly in the above slag; subsequently, the stone material thus produced is set undersea of the algae-viable shallow sea. Specifically, the above stone material is produced by packing a vessel like a formwork with powdery and/or granular slag incorporated with a moderate amount of water followed by allowing a CO2-contg. gas to flow into the vessel. It is recommended that this fishbank be constructed by piling up the stone materials (a) so as to afford space S among them.
