PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save the cost and a housing space for extending the functions of an endoscope to be capable of observing vocal cord. SOLUTION: A vocal cord image is formed at CCD 42 after passing through an objective optical system 31, an image transmitting optical system 32, an eyepiece 33, a lens 34 and an image forming optical system 41. In the middle of the system 41 in a camera head 6, a slit turnable plate 45 where a slit is formed is disposed and the turnable plate 45 is rotated by synchronizing with the speech signal of the vocal cord obtained by a microphone, thereby the vocal cord image formed at CCD 42 becomes as image like a slow image to be observable. In this constitution, it is not required to use a stroboscopic light source as a light source 3 and only introducing a head 6 which is more expensive and smaller than the device 3 required toe extend the functions of the endoscope device to be capable of observing the vocal cord to save the cost and the housing space therefor.
