PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate operation, to reduce the fear of contamination and to execute safe operation in the inserting work of an intra-windpipe tube. SOLUTION: This endoscope is provided with a thin and long insertion part 1 with a curving element, a manual operation part 2 connected to the base end part of the part 1 and provided with a light source, an intra-windpipe tube connecting part 3 disposed in the neighborhood of the connecting part of the part 1 and the part 2 and a curve operation mechanism with a curve operation level disposed at the part 2 and extending toward the tip side of the part 1 from the part 3. A power source is disposed at the level 15. Thereby, the power source and the part 2 are integrated and a centroid is positioned around a grasping hand or on the side of the insertion part compared with the hand when a operator holds this endoscope in his hand, thereby operability is excellent.
