PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a self-supporting bag which is excellent in self-supporting stability and capable of effectively absorbing drop shocks. SOLUTION: In a self-supporting bag 10 in which a double-folded bottom wall film 12 in an inversely V-shaped manner is held along a bottom part of a pair of lapped side wall films 11, and both side edge parts 15 and bottom edge parts 13, 14 of the films 11, 12 are sealed to form a storage part 16, a seal part 20 of the bottom edge parts 13, 14 is provided with a projecting piece 21 in its center part. When the self-supporting bag 10 storing the content in the storage part 16 is loaded in a self-supporting manner, the projecting piece 21 is folded outwardly by the weight of the content, and the center part of the bottom wall film 12 is placed on the loading surface.
