SUBSTANCE: mechanical arresting devices of observation systems with image stabilization have a gimbal suspension support, internal and external gimbals interconnected by bearings, fixing spring-loaded rod passing through the gimbals, and a cylindrical opening in the support. The specific feature of the device is the fact that it uses a reverse cone attached to one side of the rod, and the respective seat for it is made on the external gimbal. Attached to the other side of the rod is a bush made in the form of a right cone conjugated with a lever installed on an axle and connected to the arrester control button.
