The invention concerns a method for synchronising an apparatus local clock on a cordless communication network clock whereon said apparatus is connected, the network clock being emitted by a reference apparatus and field transmission being performed in a TDMA type mode. The invention is characterised in that it comprises the following steps: a step which consists in determining a time shift between the network clock received on a reception channel and that of the local apparatus; a step which consists in correcting the local clock based on said determined time shift, by a first correction of the whole shift in the time domain and a second connection called correction of the fractional part for recovering the matching shift not recovered by the first correction. The invention is particularly applicable in cordless domestic communication.
