The setting for spectacle lenses consists of a groove molded in the periphery of each lens. A longitudinally elastic thread is placed in the groove, and has its ends fixed on a frame. The frame (12) has two unsupported holder-arms (16,18) and at least one side edge notch per lens. One holder arm fits into a notch and the thread is held in a hole; the other holder arm fastens the two thread ends.
