The drag body is used for a sonar system with an acoustic transmission device with a transmission antenna and a reception device with a reception antenna and is provided by a hollow body (23) enclosing at least the transmission antenna (11), provided with external stabilising fins (31). A fixing device (27,29) is used to secure a tow cable (13) for the hollow body and a drag line (14) incorporating the reception antenna. The stabilising fins are attached to a separate rear section (25) secured to the main hull (24) of the hollow body.
