<p>The use of an implantable pump in the treatment of a condition characterised by inadequate fluid flow, in vivo, in or through a vessel, channel or conduit, is disclosed. This comprises inserting said implantable pump into said vessel, channel or conduit and causing it to operate when required. Control is preferably by telemetric means. Conditions susceptible to treatment in this way include urinary incontinence, pulmonary hypertension and inadequate pulmonary ventilation.</p> |
