The fan has an arrangement for deriving volume flow from pressure, temperature and rotor speed measurement values. The fan has a device for determining the mass or volume flow delivered in a calibration plane, with a pressure sensor and an electronic evaluation unit which receives a signal representing the revolution rate of a rotor wheel, a signal representing the static pressure in the calibration plane and a temperature signal representing the current temperature of the delivery medium in the calibration plane, from which it derives the volume flow using a given set of algorithms.
