The printing press attachment (1) has a roll unrolling device (4, 5). This is fitted with a roll relief device (14) mounted on a carrier (10, 11) which can travel on a traveling surface. The relief device takes at least some part regions of the axial length of the roll (6, 7) out of contact. It may act without contact on the roll, at least at the beginning of an unrolling process.
