The axle has a drive motor (2), a shaft (1) and a bearing (12) with at least one reduction gearbox (14) connected to a wheel hub (6). The gearbox(es) which is driven by the motor, has inclined teeth and the resulting axial forces are taken up by pressure combs (8,9) so that a bearing (12) for the motor shaft remains fee of axial forces.
