A guide rib (10) is connected to the second strip (21). An Independent claim is included for the method and equipment for making a plastic bag employing the slide strip closure. This includes a guide rail holding the guide rib and equipment bonding it into place in the bag, preferably by welding bag walls to the first strip (19). The slide closure strip is turned (22). The guide rib is preferably semicircular, triangular, open-semicircular or angular in cross section. The closure is for a plastic bag. The extension of the second strip (21) is preferably up to 1 cm, especially 0.5-1 cm. The guide rail has a fixed lower section and moving upper section. The closure band is held on a spool. In making the bag, the closure strip is held by its rib in a guide rail. The bag walls are bonded to the first strip (19) and turned section (22) by welding. |
