An accompaniment music data of user's choice only out of many kinds of accompaniment music data are selected and stored in a detachable and interchangeable first memory (18) used on a portable microphone device. Accompaniment music data are periodically transferred from an installation type karaoke control device (101) to a server (20) over the Internet and stored in a third memory (112). Accompaniment music data in the third memory (112) are selected by operating a writing designating means which is a numeric key (22) and written in the first memory (18) for downloading. The first memory (18) is mounted on the portable microphone device (1) and the data in the first memory are synthesized with the user-voice-based voice signals from microphone elements to create acoustic signals. In addition, composite video signals are prepared by using image data from a second memory (52) provided in the microphone device (1), thereby making it possible to enjoy karaoke performing/singing on a home TV set (93).
