According to the invention, the level of a high-frequency transmitted signal (fs) is measured in a transmitting-receiving unit (SE) and in an antenna-transmitting-receiving unit (ASE) connected thereto via a line (L), and a level difference (pdw) is established from the measured levels. The level of the transmitted signal (fs) is influenced such that the established level difference is approximately maintained at a predetermined level difference (pdw, vw). In doing this, level fluctuations of the transmitted signal (fs) caused by different lines (L) and environmental influences are compensated for.
