In monodisperse gelatinous cation exchanger production by (a) producing a suspension of a seed polymer in a continuous aqueous phase, the seed polymer is a crosslinked polymer with a swelling index of 2.5-7.5 and contains less than 1 wt.% nonvolatile soluble fraction.
