SCINTILLATION FIBER PLATE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To resolve the degradation of resolution or the lowering of sensitivity due to shortage of a light quantity by providing layers not transmitting X-rays and layers reflecting emitted light due to the scintillation fiber on the outer circumference of respective scintillation fibers. SOLUTION: A scintillation fiber plate 1 to be used for an X-ray detector is constituted so that layers 3 made of nickel or the like and not transmitting X-rays and reflecting layers made of aluminum or the like and reflecting emitted light due to scintillation fiber are provided on the outer circumference of many scintillation fibers arranged in parallel. By the layers 3 not transmitting X-rays 10, X-ray transmission to the adjoining scintillation fibers 2 can be prevented, and resolution can be raised. By the reflecting layers 4, the incidental emitted light exceeding the critical angle are also reflected in the scintillation fibers 2, and effectively utilized. Further it can be constituted so that the reflecting layers are provided on the incidental faces of X-rays of the scintillation fibers 2.
