PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a KARAOKE sing-along machine which allows the easy musical selection of KARAOKE sing-along musical pieces played as BGM and a KARAOKE sing-along music selection method therefor. SOLUTION: A system control section 7 retrieves a playing music information memory section 15 and judges whether there is the accompaniment music to be reproduced or not. If the accompaniment music is not registered, the control section waits for the lapse of the prescribed time and starts BGM playing by randomly selecting the music from the KARAOKE sing-along musical pieces. When an operator selects the musical piece under playing as BGM by manipulating a BGM music selection key disposed at a remote controller in this BGM playing mode, the system control section 7 immediately exits from the BGM playing mode and assigns the musical piece played as BGM thus far, thereby shifting to the reproduction operation of the KARAOKE sing-along accompaniment music. |
