PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a radio base station which is small in scale, has low power consumption and does not require a large number of radio devices. SOLUTION: Assignment of radio devices to a radio zone that is covered by a single radio base station and divided into sectors is changed depending on the traffic of each sector. Specifically, the usage rate of radio devices in each of sectors A, B is calculated and switches 7, 8 are selected depending on the calculating result so as to change the number of the radio devices assigned to each of the sectors A, B. Thus, the radio devices assigned to each sector can be changed without the need of cable reconnection. Moreover, an optimum radio device arrangement can be determined by calculating the usage rate of the radio devices in each sector, and in the case that fluctuation in load distribution to each sector is large, the number of the radio devices assigned to each sector can be changed in real time so as to always achieve an optimal arrangement of the radio devices. |
