PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain superior operability, in which transition to a fast forward reproducing mode is quickly accomplished, by setting the fast forward reproducing mode from the condition, in which a reproducing mode is set, by the operation of a reproducing mode setting means in a control means. SOLUTION: When a reproducing button PLAY is operated in a reproducing processing condition, a system control section 6 changes the condition to a fast forward reproducing which conducts the reproducing at a 1.5 times faster rate than the normal reproducing rate. If the continuous operation of the button PLAY exceeds a setting time and the continuous operation of the button PLAY is completed before a prescribed time, the fast forward reproducing is released and it is transitioned to a normal reproducing process. If the continuous operation of the button PLAY exceeds the prescribed time, the fast forward reproducing is continued and a setting sound is generated to notify the operator of the effect. Thus, if the operator wishes to transit to a fast forward reproducing from a reproducing condition, a quick transition to the fast forward reproducing process is accomplished by simply operating the button PLAY. |
