<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheelchair capable of getting over a step and compactly foldable when unused. SOLUTION: This wheelchair comprises a carriage mechanism 2 and a seat part mechanism 3, and the carriage mechanism 2 comprises a handle frame 5 standing tiltable forward, a wheel supporting frame 6 provided on the base 4 slidable diagonally forward and backward, a rear wheel supporting leg 7 pivotally installed on a middle part on each side of the wheel supporting frame 6, and a rear wheel 21 provided on the rear wheel supporting leg 7. The seat part mechanism 3 comprises a seat part 26, a backrest part 28 standing from a rear end part of the seat part 26 to fold on the seat part 26, and a supporting frame 29 suspended from the rear end part of the seat part 26 to be overlapped with the seat part 26 or the backrest part 28. Both side lower end parts of the handle frame 5 are supported on both sides of the seat part mechanism 3 to be slidable up and down and rotatable forward, and a middle part of the wheel supporting frame 6 to a seat part forward end part of the seat part mechanism 3, and a base forward end part of the carriage mechanism 2 to a rear wheel supporting leg middle part are respectively coupled by links 25, 39.</p> |
