COLORED COMPOSITION FOR COLOR FILTER, PRODUCTION OF COLOR FILTER, AND COLOR FILTER PRODUCED THEREBY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a colored composition excellent in dispersedness, flowability, and storage stability by mixing a blue, green, or black pigment with a pigment modifier being a phthalocyanine compound and a resin varnish. SOLUTION: The pigment modifier used is a compound of formula I or II (M is H, Cu, Co, Ni, or Fe; R1 is H, a 1-5C alkyl, or piperidyl; R2 is a 1-5C alkyl, a 2-4C hydroxyalkyl, pyridino, or pyrimidino; n is 1-3; and p and m are each 0-2). This modifier is used in an amount of, usually, 0.5-50 pts.wt. per 100 pts.wt. pigment. As for the pigment, the blue pigment is exemplified byε-copper phthalocyanine blue, the green pigment is exemplified by brominated phthalocyanine green, and the black pigment is exemplified by carbon black. The amount of the pigment added is desirably 5-500 pts.wt. per 100 pts.wt. resin binder in the resin varnish.
