PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the frequency of wasteful data communication in automatic mail acquisition processing. SOLUTION: A communication terminal device 1 is connected to a server device 2 for storing mails to the device 1 through a communication network 3. A control part 11 in the device 1 sets plural mail receiving times (Tt) within a mail-receiving time period WTC defined by an operator every day, performs data communication with the server device 2 by using a communication processing part 14 whenever the time (Tt) arrives and consequently acquires mails that are not acquired so far. Each mail receiving time (Tt) is a time that is as long as an integral multiple of a previously defined mail-receiving interval t1 which is earlier than mail receiving start time TS within the period WTC defined, in accordance with the operation results of an operation part 12 of the device 1. Consequently, the device 1 reduces the number of execution times of wasteful data communication with which mail cannot be received and also suppresses the traffic increase of the server device 2.
