PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a passage dividing pipe excellent in heat resisting strength. SOLUTION: A front pipe 5 is composed of an outer pipe 7 and an inner pipe 10. The inner pipe 10, which is a passage dividing pipe, is provided with a first and a second pipes 11, 12 of a cross section almost semicircle spot welded together at a spot welding part 13 with the plane parts 11a, 12a overlapping each other. The inner pipe 10 has a first pipe 11 forming one of an exhaust gas passage R1 and a second pipe 12 forming the other exhaust gas passage R2. The inner pipe 10 is of sufficient strength to bear high temperature even if the exhaust gas temperature becomes higher than in the past by lowering thermal capacity of an exhaust manifold or doing away with a rich spike.
