PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage element module low in power consumption, low in cost, high in reliability and small in size by mounting a programmable memory chip on a circuit board. SOLUTION: Respective memory chips have chip selection input terminals A-C, chip logic control input terminals D-F, data output/input terminals G and chip selection circuits 4. The respective memory chips D-F are connected so that the combination of a power line VDD or a power line VSS becomes different in accordance with the memory chips. The chip selection input terminals A-C are connected to address lines A16 and A17 and a chip selection line, the inverse of CS, and a data output input terminal G to output/input data lines DQ1-DQ4 in common and they are connected to a module terminal 2a. Writing control line R/W and address lines A0-A15 are connected in common and they are connected to the module terminal 2a. When the storage element module is not selected, the chip selection line, the inverse of CS, is set to 'H' and to 'L' when the storage element module is selected.
