PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the hanging-down of a transfer bar owing to the weight of a work and the like, even when the transfer bar is provided at the upper part or at the side part of work, as well as to allow the advance and the retreat of the work. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a transfer bar 12 which can be engaged with a cylinder head by a formed engaging claw 12a and extends almost in the horizontal direction; a driving cylinder 14 to move the transfer bar 12 in the longitudinal direction; a guide rail provided almost parallel to the transfer bar 12 and fixed to a device frame; and a connecting means 16 provided to the transfer bar 12 and to roll on the guide rail following to the movement of the transfer bar 12 while being supported to the guide rail.
