PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inspect a reagent test piece arranged on it with a body fluid sample, for example an urine sample, to reduce the possibility that one body fluid sample is contaminated with another body fluid sample. SOLUTION: This device 10 is provided with a reagent test piece supporting body 22 designed to suport reagent test piece 14 having plural reagent pads 26 containing reagent pads having reagents sensitive to contamination, arranged vertically along the reagent test piece 14. The device 10 includes also a reagent test piece moving device 18 designed to move the reagent test piece 14 from an initial reagent test piece position to an inspecting position substantially laterally with respect to a vertical direction, a light emitting body 64 or 68 designed to light up the test piece 14 when the test piece 14 is supported in the inspecting position by the test piece supporting body 22, and a detector 66 or 70 designed to receive light from the test piece 14 when the test piece 14 is lit up by the light emitting body 64 or 68.
