PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a facsimile machine which can output all of received image information on recording paper, even when its length in the vertical scanning direction is longer than the length of the preset recording paper in the vertical scanning direction. SOLUTION: This machine is equipped with a 1st clock frequency dividing circuit 12, having a 1st register 18 where a 1st value corresponding to a reduction rate is set, a 1st counter 15 which divides the frequency of a 1st higher harmonic clock according to the 1st value, a 2nd counter 16 which counts the frequency-divided clock outputted by the 1st counter 15, and a decoder 19 which decodes the output of the 2nd counter 16 and outputs an enable signal for a period proportional to the set value of the 1st register 18. The 1st counter 15 is so constituted that the cycles of the frequency-divided cock is short while the enable signal is outputted, and the frequency- divided clock is used as a horizontal-scanning clock. Then the machine is equipped with a 2nd clock frequency-dividing circuit 13 having a 2nd register 23, where a 2nd value corresponding to the reduction rate is set and a 2nd counter 22, which divides the frequency of a 2nd higher harmonic clock according to the 2nd value and the frequency-divided clock outputted by the 2nd clock is used as a vertical-scanning clock. |
