SLAVE DEVICE AND WIRING-SAVING SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extend the communication distance and to increase the number of input output points in the wiring-saving system in compliance with a prescribed communication standard. SOLUTION: An input unit 4 applies parallel/serial conversion to a signal from an input device 10 and gives the converted signal to an input terminal 3 that is a slave device, the input terminal 3 converts the serial signal from the input unit 4 into a parallel signal and also converts the signal into a signal in compliance with a device net being a prescribed communication standard and transmits the converted signal to a master device so as to extend the communication distance more than a conventional system by a communication distance between the input terminal 3 and the input unit 4 and to increase the number of the input devices 10 connectable to the input terminal 3.
