CONTROL TESTING SYSTEM FOR PRINTER, CONTROL METHOD THEREFOR AND RECORDING MEDIUM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control testing system for a printer capable of automatically setting a control value for controlling a printing output by correcting a timing for driving a dot means provided in a print head in a printer so that visual observation by a worker can be eliminated. SOLUTION: An image reader 3 reads an output result outputted by a printer 6 for confirming a control value. A printed pattern printed by the printer 6 is put down as a figure so constituted that line-shaped figures formed by the different dot means are connected to each other and the figure is read by the image reader 3 by a multi-value mode, then a coordinate of a central line of the line-shaped figure is obtained. The coordinate of the center line of the figure is determined by an accuracy exceeding a resolution of the image reader 3 so that an optimum control value to be a target is determined.
